Alpine startrails from Emberger Alm

Alpine startrails from Emberger Alm

Thanks to Csukó we visited the 30. ITT (Internationales Teleskoptreffen) at Emberger Alm, Austria in 2014. The sky was not perfect all night, every night. Nevertheless we managed to take a look into a couple of big telescopes, met interesting people and managed to draw a little and take some photos. Like this startrail picture taken on the first night.

Technical data:

  • Date: 2014. 09. 25/26.
  • Lens: Sigma 10-20mm f/4-5.6
  • Camera: Canon EOS 450D (not modified)
  • 10mm, f/7.1, ISO 1600
  • 64 x 8 minutes (8.5 hours)

You can see the ISS (International Space Station) in the picture as well. The startrails in the top left corner are dashed because of the clouds that stuck to the mountains above us.
